Article: Which Chakras Should You Heal in Pairs?

Which Chakras Should You Heal in Pairs?

Which Chakras Should You Heal in Pairs?

Did you know that your body contains seven major, unique chakras that possess their own individual energies? The word chakra is Sanskrit for “wheel,” and these points act as energetic wheels in the body, allowing energy to flow smoothly when they’re cleansed and functioning properly.

Chakras connect your energy and your physical body, and when they’re balanced, you feel a sense of relaxation and harmony within the body and the mind. You may have experienced chakra healing meditations or practices in the past, but did you know that you can achieve more healing and balance by balancing your chakras in pairs?

Every chakra within the body possesses its own unique energy and soul connection, meaning it is associated with a different aspect of our lives. Additionally, these chakras are linked to their own color, and the seven chakras together complete the rainbow!

The seven major chakras begin at the base of the spine and end at the crown of the head, and each one is associated with different emotions or vibrations. However, while they are different, they are also connected, and working with your chakras in pairs can make your experience go more smoothly and provide more healing.

The Relationship Between the Chakras

Our chakras have certain relationships with one another, and when that relationship is harmonious and balanced, we feel more energetic, positive, and aware. For instance, the Solar Plexus chakra is located behind the navel and rules over our sense of self and our ability to protect ourselves and our energy.

On the other hand, the Third Eye chakra is located in the center of the forehead – right between your eyebrows – and that chakra is associated with intuition and our thoughts, but it is also linked to stress and worry.

While it may seem as though these chakras are very different from one another, they actually share an energetic link. That means that when you have negative or tense thoughts, that energy is being directly fed to your Solar Plexus, making it harder to feel confident and courageous. Think about the feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you have an upsetting or disturbing thought – that is the link between the Solar Plexus and the Third Eye chakras.

This relationship between chakras is also known as polarity. When it comes to the chakras, polarity represents the energetic connection between the chakras. Think of the phrase, “As above, so below.” There is a balance within the Universe that connects each and every one of us – both within the physical and spiritual dimensions.

This balance is crucial for harmony and peace. While it is important to make sure that each of your chakras is balanced and open, it’s just as important to create a balance between the upper and lower chakras, as well as a balance between chakra pairs.

The Best Chakra Pairs For Healing

To attain the harmony and balance you seek, try making sure that the Root (1st) and Heart (4th) chakras are aligned with one another, the Sacral (2nd) and the Throat (5th), Solar Plexus (3rd), and Third Eye (6th), and the Heart (4th) and Crown (7th).

1. The Root Chakra & Heart Chakra

The Root and Heart Chakra connection.

The Root chakra is located at the base of the spine, while the Heart chakra is placed in the center of the chest. The feeling of security that a properly balanced Root chakra provides reflects on the generosity and compassion that you feel when the Heart chakra is properly aligned.

The Heart chakra is also connected to the Crown chakra (which we will discuss in a moment) since our compassion and matters of the heart are best connected to our foundation and personal exploration. This pairing really focuses on grounding our feelings and thoughts so that we may explore beyond and empower ourselves.

2. The Sacral Chakra & Throat Chakra

The Sacral and Throat chakra connection.

The Sacral chakra is located between the Root and Solar Plexus chakras, deep within your lower belly or groin area. The Throat chakra is in the center of the neck and connects to our voice - whether internally or externally expressed.

When the creativity or the Sacral chakra is aligned with the expressive nature of the Throat chakra, it becomes easier than ever to share your thoughts and ideas with the world.

3. The Third-Eye Chakra & Solar Plexus Chakra

The Third Eye and Solar Plexus chakra connection.

The Third Eye, located between the brows, provides insight and intuition that flows beautifully with the instinctual nature of the Solar Plexus chakra, located behind the navel. While the Third Eye represents a duality that the Solar Plexus doesn’t have, their energy aligns in their perception and power.

These two connect because of their foresight and strength - when these are healed together, we seek and find renewed self-power and balance. We are able to keep our energy steady and focus on the self.

Use these meditations to connect to your Third Eye and Solar Plexus.

4. The Crown Chakra & Heart Chakra

The Heart and Crown chakra connection.

Finally, when we balance the Heart and Crown chakras. While the Heart chakra has already made its appearance in these pairings - it’s a connection to both the Root and Crown chakras that cannot be missed.

The Crown chakra is located at the very crown of the head, so when we pair these together during the healing process, we are creating harmony between the head and the heart, thoughts, and emotions.

When we meditate and connect to the Crown, we can use this pairing to extend ourselves up knowing that our intentions are strong and connected to the heart. As we explore the transformative nature of the Crown chakra, our heart goes beyond the grounding we experienced with the Root chakra connection and connects us to the true meaning.

How to Balance these Chakra Pairs

Energy healer, Regina Chouza, shares a delicious method for balancing the chakra pairs on her blog, Diary of a Psychic Healer, called “The Ham and Cheese Sandwich” method.

To begin, get in a comfortable, seated position in your favorite sacred space. Grab any crystals that you want to incorporate into your healing. Bronzite and blue kyanite are particularly beneficial when balancing the chakras.

Now, follow this method:

  • Bread – Heal the Root and Heart chakras.
  • Ham – Heal the Sacral and Throat chakras.
  • Cheese – Heal the Solar Plexus and Third Eye chakras.
  • Bread – Heal the Heart and Crown chakras.
  • Tidy Up – Finish the practice by grounding your legs.

To heal these chakra pairs, you can hold your blue kyanite or bronzite over each chakra in the order mentioned above. You can also simply visualize a bright, glowing light traveling to each chakra in the pair that you’re focused on, healing those chakras and allowing them to blossom.

Healing your chakras in pairs can also help you find balance and harmony on-the-go, as this practice can be performed quickly and easily.

Pair Up & Heal

While balancing each chakra is crucial for peace and harmony within the body, working with them in pairs incorporates the duality and polarity of life itself into your practice. There exists the spiritual realm and the physical realm, our emotions, and our thoughts, our body, and its energy – many of life’s greatest concepts or ideas come in pairs.

So, try embracing the polar nature of your chakras and their interpersonal relationships for a deeper, more meaningful experience – and better results! By learning to balance your chakras in pairs, you can save yourself time and energy, healing your chakras faster and more efficiently than ever before.
