Our chakras are the energy centers in our body that are the meeting points of our mind and body.

The health of our mind affects our body and this meditation will help target the parts of our subconscious mind that deal with our attitude to help us bring a strong sense of enthusiasm and hope into our lives. Depending on our past experiences and life mentors, we may not be using this part of our emotions to the fullest because we subconsciously play out what we have seen or are still reacting to something that may have taken the wind from our sails.

The Solar Plexus Chakra

Today we will reclaim your freedom and personal power by healing and activating the Solar Plexus chakra with this simple guided meditation.

The Solar Plexus chakra is traditionally known as Manipura in Sanskrit and it is located at the upper stomach area and when it’s imbalanced our body will often show this through digestive problems, stomach pain, ulcers, acid reflux, blood sugar problems like hypoglycemia and diabetes, and liver issues.

When this chakra is flowing and balanced, we feel optimistic, confident, motivated, and have a good sense of humor. On the other hand, when it’s blocked or imbalanced, we may feel unmotivated, pessimistic, timid, aggressive, or overly serious. Negative energy that makes the Solar Plexus chakra blocked is not something to feel guilty about and we can rely on the ancient healing rituals of the yogis to helps us clear this energy.

Tips for This Meditation

Meditation helps us release patterns of thinking we aren’t really conscious of and helps us balance our nervous system which is often triggered into a fight or flight state due to our busy lifestyles. Having some type of daily meditation practice can help your overall well being just by entering into a more relaxed state.

It’s important to take your meditation seriously and in order to make this a big part of your life in your mind, so that you will really get the most out of it, you’ll want to take time to prepare for this journey which you are about to take into your own inner-world.

Here are some ways you can help yourself relax before you even begin. This will make your meditation even more effective.

Body Position

Sit up tall so the energy can run through your chakras easier and so you can breathe deeply. This may mean sitting in a cross-legged position on a cushion or sitting on a chair so that your feet can rest flat on the floor. Throughout the meditation, your eyes will be closed gently, and you can breathe in and out of your nose. Having your palms resting on your thighs facing up will help you get into a state that is receptive.


Yellow crystals enhance the energy of the Solar Plexus chakra and holding them in your hand or having them near you while you meditate can help in your intention to heal this chakra. Yellow calcite, carnelian, and sunstone help boost the energy of positivity which this meditation is focused on.


Cinnamon or citrus essential oils can also help accentuate the positive flow of energy through this chakra. You can diffuse the oils or apply them topically. You may also want to use sandalwood oil or incense as a meditation tool. Sandalwood helps lift melancholy feelings and ease anxiety. Using a yellow candle for your meditation can help you harness your own intention to focus on this chakra which resonates with the color yellow.

Setting Up Your Space

Play some relaxing meditation music on a low volume. You may want to dim the lights or just light candles to make the room more relaxed. Set up a blanket and cushion that will represent a sacred meditation area. This means that inside of this space, you will be able to focus on healing, and not on other things. It can be nice to meditate in a peaceful setting outside in nature as well. Just make sure you can maintain a comfortable temperature and there is not going to be too much noise from cars or people that would distract you.

Solar Plexus Chakra Healing Meditation

You will now begin the guided chakra meditation to help heal and activate your Solar Plexus chakra. This will help bring out your confidence, a strong sense of motivation, and positive feelings. It will also help you release patterns of thinking that are causing you to feel stuck or unmotivated to expand in your life. Start by breathing slowly and deeply in and out of your nose.


Consciously focus all of your energy on the air that is entering your lungs. Notice how your ribs expand and your chest rises. As you exhale feel your stomach contract towards your spine. Scan your body for any places that are tense and as you exhale, relax that part of your body.


You will now imagine in your mind’s eye that you are standing on a beautiful beach with bright white sand, crystal blue sparkling water, and the sun is shining. There is a lightness about this place as if anything could happen, and as if it is a place where magical things take place. Walking towards you is your higher self, the wise part of you that can help you heal and find the best path for your soul. Your higher self is not bound by your ego but able to help you elevate your consciousness beyond all fear. Your higher self will help you feel safe, loved, and you’ll feel a strong sense of familiarity with them.


Under their arm is a picture album, they open it, to show you a memory that is affecting your self-esteem and confidence. You will see how this experience has made you have a tilted view of your true potential. When you see the image, your higher self will take it out of the album and the two of you will place it into the ocean to release the energy of the experience from your consciousness and the patterns of thinking it has created. As you watch the waves take this picture away from you, take a deep breath, and feel the new space you’ve made in your life for greater confidence.

Higher Self

Now your higher self will show you one more picture that is something or someone in your life, perhaps even a group, or a way of thinking, that has created a sense that things won’t get better, or that you are unable to live your life’s biggest dreams. Look at the picture and allow yourself to see how this is affecting your attitude now underneath the things you do and words you say, this has been creating the feeling of being stuck, unable to manifest with positive energy. Your higher self will now take this picture out of the album and together, you will release it into the healing ocean waters. Feel how you are filled with positivity as you watch this belief system and memory fade away.


It is now time to fill your energy field with positive energy to charge you with excitement and enthusiasm with which you will pursue the things that bring you the most happiness. You notice the sun is glowing yellow and gold as if calling to you. The sun energy now streams into your Solar Plexus as you stand next to your higher self on the water’s edge. With each breath, you feel your optimism build and soon you are vibrating with excitement, surrounded by and filled with the sense that amazing things are on the horizon.

Breathe & Conclude

This very energy will attract them to you. Now each time you want to bring this feeling into you, you can picture this energy streaming into you from the sun and breathe in the good vibrations.

You will now thank your higher self and then take one deep breath to bring yourself back into your body. Slowly open your eyes but do not get up quickly.

Remain in a relaxed state and write down the two memories you released, how they were affecting your mind, and how you’re now empowered with positive energy and your true strength. Write down how you want to move toward your life’s biggest dreams and how you feel about it now.

Continue to do this healing meditation throughout the month to really shift your thinking and heal more of your past. You will notice that you really become more confident as these layers are released and you focus on building positive energy habitually.

To continue the healing of your solar plexus chakra, use an affirmation that helps you feel positive throughout the day to keep this stream of positive energy going in your mind and make it a habit. The more we consciously direct our mind to the desired state, the more we will find that our experience of life matches that vibration. It may not make sense now but when you experience this level of reality, it becomes the most empowering part of life.
