Are you in a need of a little self-love lately? What about a self-love ritual based on your Meyers Briggs personality?
Myers Briggs is a self-report questionnaire that categorizes individuals into 16 different personalities based on how they make decisions and their worldly perceptions. It offers a glimpse into your psyche and your thought patterns. It also offers up some serious insight regarding your personality strengths and weaknesses.
Depending on your Myers Briggs test results (a test which you can easily take online!), what you should be doing for a little self-love may differ from the next person. So first up, take that test! Then, check out our self-love tips below according to your one-of-a-kind personality.
A Self-Love Ritual for Your Myers Briggs Personality Type
The Architect - INTJ-A/INTJ-T
You’ve always got a plan. You’re the strategic thinker of the group. You also may be quite introverted but you’ve got strong confidence despite potentially wanting to spend more time alone. In fact, this need for alone time only signifies how independent and decisive you really are. So what’s your self-love ritual?
For a little self-love, take a break - but not too much of one! Try meditating and opening your mind. Sometimes, you can be quite judgemental and arrogant. Fortunately, meditation helps you reel that in, as well as give you a break from all that analytic thinking. It could potentially even improve your focus.
New to meditation? Start with a 2 minute or beginner meditation. Set a timer and focus on your breath. Try to clear your mind. However, if thoughts come, allow them. Acknowledge them and let them pass.
The Logician - INTP-A/INTP-T
You love experimentation. Combine that with a creative mind like yours, you’ve got the most logical thinker in the group. Your open mind and enthusiasm is attractive. Yet, you can be also honest and straightforward to a fault.
What’s your self-love ritual? Start keeping track of all your ongoings. This simply means keeping a schedule and calendar. It might not sound a lot like self-love but hear us out.
When your interest is captivated by something, you become absent-minded and forgetful. Save yourself the stress and put everything in lists and calendars. It sounds like a rule but it’s not - again, hear us out. It’s simple to cut yourself some slack and reduce ill-effects caused by your potential weaknesses.
The Commander - ENTJ-A/ENTJ-T
Technically, you’re the Steve Jobs of personalities. You’re charismatic, strategic, confident, energetic, and highly efficient. So how can you show yourself some self-love?
It’s time to be a bit more mindful and to live in the moment - taking a break from the constant push that you strive for. So what does this look like? You can try meditation to calm your mind and dive into possible insensitivities you’ve developed. You may also benefit from writing a grateful list. This can show you what is truly important, keeping your emotions in check.
The Debater - ENTP-A/ENTP-T
You are on a quest for knowledge, which means you attack each idea from every possible angle. You like to play devil’s advocate which can be great, but it can also get you in some trouble.
For a bit of self-love, try a loving-kindness meditation. This can allow you to not only focus on yourself but also extend that love to others. You can sometimes be insensitive so this can dive into a more positive side of you. This may also help improve your focus, which you may sometimes find difficult.
The Advocate - INFJ-A/INFJ-T
You are one of the most thoughtful and imaginative personalities. In fact, your personality makes up less than 1% of the entire world population. You’re a rarity! You are very soft-spoken but also judgmental in your opinions. You have a ton of energy and willpower that goes toward helping others and those in need. You like to make an impact.
For a little self-love, perform a brain dump every day or when you need it. You have so much passion, but this also tends to lead to exhaustion. Pour that energy out on paper and come back to it with time. It can take some weight off your shoulders, allowing you to truly relax.
The Mediator - INFP-A/INFP-T
Rewards and punishments don’t sway you. But honor, beauty, morality, and virtue do. While you may not be fully understood by some, you’re there to listen when someone needs it. However, you can get caught up in helping others and seeking a greater good that you forget to keep some self-care and self-love for yourself.
For your self-love ritual, it’s time to focus on you. Set S.M.A.R.T. goals for yourself. You need to be realistic here or you may set yourself up for disappointment. SMART means creating goals that are specific, measurable, realistic, and time-oriented. You tend to get carried away with ideas without realizing, but this tactic is a bit of self-love that will get you back on track.
The Protagonist - ENFJ-A/ENFJ-T
As the protagonist, you make up the teachers, coaches, and politicians of the world. You believe in improving the community and helping others. One of your biggest weaknesses is that you’re too selfless. Bet you can guess where this is going…
For your self-love ritual, you need to be a little selfish. It comes down to simply taking time for yourself. Start each day with a morning ritual. This may mean simply sitting with your coffee or tea in the morning and being one with your thoughts. It could also mean you take time to take care of you by taking a bubble bath or booking that massage.
The Campaigner - ENFP-A/ENFP-T
You are a free spirit who enjoys the moment and all it has to offer. The good news? You know how to relax. You’ve got loads of energy and people love you. The bad news? You tend to overthink things, become stressed, and can be very emotional.
Your self-love ritual involves a yummy sunrise yoga flow. This can help you de-stress, combat overthinking, and tame your emotions. It can also improve your focus and help you nail down what you really want out of your life.
The Logistician - ISTJ-A/ISTJ-T
You are very rational, practical, calm, responsible, and a jack-of-all-trades. You also know how to stay focused on the goal at hand and not let your emotions get the best of you.
But… you can also be stubborn, insensitive, judgmental, and sometimes, you even blame yourself when things go wrong. This self-blame comes from over-committing and under-delivering.
Show yourself a little self-love by saying ‘no’ to the next project that comes your way. Start being pickier! Your future self will thank you and you won’t stress yourself out later on.
The Defender - ISFJ-A/ISFJ-T
The defender is a fairly balanced personality type. You’re conservative but open. You’re reserved, yet social. You’re both sensitive and analytic. Now, while you might not feel entirely at home at center stage, a little self-love might be to get out of your comfort zone.
Your self-love ritual involves journaling on the regular. You have an innate weakness to suppress your feelings and hide away. Journaling can help break that shyness and help you unravel your thoughts and feelings - as opposed to tucking them in your back pocket for a later date.
Pour your heart and soul onto paper. It can help you tackle those tough problems and find viable solutions!
The Executive - ESTJ-A/ESTJ-T
Amid chaos, you offer stability. You are very loyal, reliable, and patient. You’ve also got great organizational skills that place you in leadership roles. However, you can focus too much on social status, have trouble expressing your emotions, and be very stubborn.
Yet again, writing the outcomes of your thoughts out on top as your self-love ritual. You need to dissect your emotions and learn to express them properly. When you’re stubborn, you need to determine why this is so.
Writing out your feelings can help. Start journaling every day or every other day - whatever works. Unload your mind and love yourself by giving yourself exactly what you need - which is sorting through your thoughts and emotions, or at least touching on them!
The Consul - ESFJ-A/ESFJ-T
You are an altruistic soul - always on the hunt to do the right thing in terms of the law and authority. You’ve also got parties nailed down. You get people laughing and talking. You’re also great at smoothing over any conflict.
For self-love, focus on your strengths here. You are great at connecting with others and being very practical. Practice self-love by doing what you do well with others but diving inwards instead. Get to know you!
Consider following a course on cognitive behaviors or bettering yourself. Or if this fails, watch a few videos regarding how you can connect with your inner self. Sometimes, meditation may be involved or other activities. Get to know you more!

The Virtuoso - ISTP-A/ISTP-T
You don’t require any external push to go after your goals. You love exploring and seek out newness in the world around you. You also love taking things apart and putting them back together again.
Show yourself some self-love by getting crafty or creative. You need a hands-on task. Perhaps you’ve been needing a new desk or shelf - build it yourself! Or get that painting job done this weekend. You’re a hands-on personality type who enjoys creating ideas and watching them come to fruition.
The Adventurer - ISFP-A/ISFP-T
You love new experiences and challenges. You approach life with excitement and enthusiasm. You also don’t shy away from who you truly are. However, you tend to not take critique lightly.
For your self-love ritual, we encourage you to get outside and explore. But don’t only explore nature - this comes down to some serious self-exploration as well. Bring a notebook and find a new nook. Focus on what critique you have heard in the past and learn and grow from it. Then get back to exploring - we know it’s what you truly love!
The Entrepreneur - ESTP-A/ESTP-T
You are a human full of opportunity. You love to seek it out and create it. Plus, you’ve got the energy and action-oriented mind to tackle it all. You’ve also got that innate ability to learn from failure and bounce back.
Yet… you could use some serious structure in your life. You may find you get frustrated or impatient by this. Thus, your self-love ritual is simply planning your day tomorrow in advance. Create a bit of structure - but not too much, just enough to avoid the pitfalls that happen when you let your impatience and focus get out of hand.
The Entertainer - ESFP-A/ESFP-T
As the entertainer, you are vibrant and full of energy. Who knows when you’re going to break out in song and dance? The world is your stage and you love to be the center of it. At the same time, you are aware of others and their emotions.
Yet, this personality type hates addressing conflict in their own life. This can take its toll. Thus, your self-love ritual is to have a routine where you write down challenges or conflicts in your life and actively come up with solutions to address them. Take that stress off - you don’t need it!
Show Yourself Some Self-Love Today!
Take that time for you. We all need it once and a while - no matter what your personality type is. And when you do, your personality will shine through even more!
