Article: A Mantra for Each Enneagram Personality Type

A Mantra for Each Enneagram Personality Type

A Mantra for Each Enneagram Personality Type

There are nine different types of Enneagrams, and everyone fits into one of them.

Of course, many of us will show qualities from different Enneagram types. But there is always one that we identify with the most. This represents our core being, and when we understand our core, we find it easier to deal with life’s challenges and our relationships with others.

If you’re the type who is fascinated by analyzing and understanding every aspect of yourself and others, you will be overwhelmed by what the Enneagram can reveal. And if you are someone who is simply curious to know more, the Enneagram can assist you on your life path journey, especially when you need added insight about yourself that you can’t find anywhere else.

To help you during these stressful times we are currently in, we’ve crafted a mantra for each Enneagram type.

You can repeat it to yourself morning and night, whenever you feel stressed or uncomfortable, or during any spare moment throughout the day. These mantras are designed to help you on your self-discovery journey and bring you a greater sense of peace and well-being.

Make sure to take the Enneagram personality test if you haven’t already!

First, How Can a Mantra Help?

A mantra is something you repeat in order to affirm something to yourself or others. When you repeat a mantra that directly relates to your Enneagram type, this resonates with your soul. You could even call it a sort of food for your soul!

After all, knowing your Enneagram type is just the beginning. Once you know what it is, you can step outside of yourself and see how you react in various situations and how you can harness your qualities to make things easier and smoother for yourself.

You can also use mantras to help soothe your core personality, especially when it steps out of line.

As with all things, there are negatives and positives to your Enneagram type. A mantra can help nurture the negative so you can embrace the positive. This is how you will achieve inner equilibrium.

A Mantra for Each Enneagram Personality Type

Type 1: The Reformer

Reformers are perfectionist types. They are extremely principled and reliable, but they can expect too much of themselves at times. The Reformer’s lesson is to know that their best truly is good enough and that it’s okay to slip up sometimes.

Your Mantra

Practice makes perfect, but it is still okay not to be perfect.

Type 2: The Helper

Helpers are kind, considerate, and love to help everybody. However, in the negative spectrum, this can turn them into doormats who can’t say no to anyone. The lesson for the Helper is to know that it’s okay to put themselves first sometimes.

Your Mantra

It’s okay to say no sometimes. I am still a good person.

Type 3: The Achiever

Achievers are ambitious and driven. They want to reach the top, and they very often do. In the negative, they can be ruthless in their determination to get to the top, and they can be too self-conscious. The lesson for the Achiever is balance – not being the best does not make them any less of a person.

Your Mantra

My self-worth does not depend on my success.

Type 4: The Individualist

Individualist types are very creative and sensitive. They often have powerful gifts of intuition. However, in the negative, they can be prone to escapism, preferring to run from their problems rather than face them head-on.

The lesson for the Individualist is to achieve an inner balance, so things do not overwhelm them emotionally.

Your Mantra

I am strong and balanced, and I can face anything.

Type 5: The Investigator

Investigators are the Sherlock Holmes of the Enneagram. Perceptive and clever, nothing escapes their notice. At the same time, they can become too self-isolated and high-strung if they don’t know what is going to happen next.

The Investigator’s lesson is to accept that even they do not know the be-all and end-all of everything!

Your Mantra

Sometimes I don’t know what is going to happen, and that is okay.

Type 6: The Loyalist

Loyalists are dependable and loyal, as the name suggests. They can always be counted on in a crisis, and they don’t suffer fools gladly. At the same time, they can be overly-suspicious and anxious.

The Loyalist lesson is that they don’t have to keep their guard up all the time. Not everyone is an enemy.

Your Mantra

It is okay to trust others.

Type 7: The Enthusiast

Enthusiasts are spontaneous and fun-loving. People generally like being around them because they are great fun to be around and very entertaining. At the same time, they can be irresponsible and easily-distracted.

The lesson for the Enthusiast is that some things really do need to be planned.

Your Mantra

I am organized when I put my mind to it.

Type 8: The Challenger

Strong and self-confident, Challengers are the type to take the lead and get things done. Others respect them for their courage and insight. In the negative, challenges can be too confrontational and domineering.

The lesson for the Challenger is to understand that it’s okay not to be in control all the time.

Your Mantra

It is okay for me to show my vulnerabilities.

Type 9: The Peacemaker

Easy-going, receptive, and agreeable, Peacemakers are the type of people you want around in almost any situation. They tend to have a calming influence and can soothe others with their words. In the negative, they can be too complacent.

The lesson for the Peacemaker is not to get too slack and to keep themselves on the ball.

Your Mantra

I motivate myself when I put my mind to it.

Use Mantras in Your Daily Life

When you put the Enneagram and mantras together, there’s a wealth of wonderful things that can come from them.

As mentioned earlier in the article, the more you study your Enneagram type, the more deeply you can understand yourself. Your personal mantra can help you on your journey and enable you to view everything from a new perspective, which can enhance your introspection and inner wisdom.

What is your Enneagram type? How does knowing it help you in your daily life? See how the mantra helps you and keep digging – when it comes to the core of you, exploration is endless!
