Feed Your Body Friday: Vegan Pulled Pork Sandwiches

This Pulled Pork Sandwich recipe is not made with meat, but with jackfruit, a fruit that has become much appreciated by vegetarians and vegans in recent years.

Besides being easy to make, this sandwich is so delicious that everyone will love it! This recipe is perfect for summertime and goes well with a traditional coleslaw on the side.

Canned jackfruit can be difficult to find, so if you struggle to find it, you can always use the one found in the refrigerated vegan section of your grocery store. Luckily, you will have the same result with both options.

Serving tip: When serving this for lots of people, place the jackfruit meat in the bowl and the bread on the side, so you can add it when you are ready to eat your sandwich that way you don’t end up with soggy bread.

This tropical fruit is perfectly suited for creating a healthy and balanced menu. It’s an excellent alternative to meat! Thanks to its fibrous and thick texture, you can very easily incorporate it into many different dishes as a meat replacement!
