Feed Your Body Friday: 3 Meals for Your Sacral Chakra

Today our recipes are intended to balance the Sacral chakra.

The Sacral chakra, called Svadhisthana in Sanskrit, is the second of the seven energy centers present inside your body. It’s located on the stomach.

In Kundalini Yoga, this chakra is represented by a lotus with six orange petals influencing the emotions, the relation with others, sharing, pleasures, desires, sexuality, procreation, the vitality, the joy of living, self-esteem, and relationship with money.

The foods that balance the Sacral chakra are mostly orange like carrots, butternuts, mango, oranges, orange peppers, peaches, apricots, and sweet potatoes. Foods rich in Omega-3s, like nuts, also work well to balance this chakra.
