Feed Your Body Friday: Freezer-Friendly Pizza Pockets - 2 Ways
Today we are going to make a homemade pizza pocket! It’s super easy to make and they freeze really well. So why not double the recipe to have some in the freezer when you need it?
To keep this recipe simple and saved time I used already prepared dough, but you can also make it at home if you prefer. You can also let your imagination run wild and garnish your pocket pizza with ingredients you love, such as olives, spinach or simply change the type of cheese, for example.
To freeze your pockets, it’s best to do it after they have been cooked and spread them on a baking sheet to freeze them. When they are frozen, you can store them together in a freezer bag. By doing this you prevent them from all being bonded together.
Tip: In these recipes, we will be making the pizza sauce from (essentially) scratch but you can use store-bought sauce if you desire. I suggest you try making your own because it is so easy! If you have leftovers, you can also freeze it. It will keep up to 5 months in the freezer.
