Buffalo Cauliflower Wings Recipe
This recipe is just amazing! It’s the right blend of many hearty flavors that you will want to recreate again and again!
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4-6
Ingredients
- 1 cauliflower head
- ½ cup plant-based milk (we used oat milk)
- ½ cup of water
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- ¾ cup of plain breadcrumbs
- 3/4 cup Frank’s Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce (or homemade sauce)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 450° F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Cut the cauliflower into wing-sized florets and set aside.
In a bowl, create your liquid mixture by combining the milk, water, flour, and spices. Mix until you get a smooth texture.
In a separate bowl, place your breadcrumbs in preparation for step 3.
Step 3
Dip each cut piece of cauliflower into your liquid mixture, shake off the excess, and dip it in the breadcrumbs.
Place on a baking sheet and repeat with other florets of cauliflower.
Step 4
Bake for 20 minutes until golden.
While the cauliflower cooks, prepare the sauce by combining the buffalo hot sauce and the olive oil. (If you were planning on making your own buffalo sauce, this is the time to make it!)
Step 5
Remove the cooked cauliflower from the oven and place in a large bowl. Pour the sauce and mix gently to coat. Put the wings back on the baking sheet and cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 6
Remove your wings from the oven, plate, and serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauces (and if you’re missing the pub, some celery as well).
