Breathwork to Clear Doubt & Indecision

Breathwork to Clear Doubt & Indecision

Many of us spend a lot of time and energy on indecision. But how much mulling over decisions is too much? If you think you’ve been on the fence for long enough about something and your indecision is starting to become an issue, this breathwork will help you.

The good news is that breathwork helps you release fear and get in touch with a more confident and self-assured you! If you’re like most people, you’re likely wondering, what is breathwork anyway? It’s just a more focused way of breathing with different techniques that can help improve your health, your mental clarity, and your optimism.

Breathwork therapy has been around for a long time and it comes in many shapes and sizes but the breathwork benefits are still the same.

The Benefits of Breathwork for Your Mind, Body, & Spirit

Breathwork healing is a deep release of old stuck fears, which occurs as you oxygenate the cells and purify the bloodstream. As you release negative energy, your body will feel less stress and your immune and nervous systems will become stronger. Your organs will not have to work so hard to filter out stress hormones that are released when you feel negative.

Additionally, your inflammation will decrease as stress hormones decrease which will reduce free radicals that cause inflammation. The breathwork also helps detoxify the body which helps restore energy and further reduces inflammation.

The prana that you bring into your energy field will help push out negative thoughts and allow you to vibe with positivity. It’s a sensory experience that you may get on your first day of breathwork training or a little further down the road.

When you clear your old stuck emotions, you will be equipped with a strong energy that will help you in overcoming indecision. If you’ve been wanting to write a book for example, but are stuck on the title, this will get you over that doubt and into gear to work. It will give you more energy to bring to the day and help your body have the energy it needs to function optimally.

A Simple Breathing Technique You Can Start Today

This breathing technique is a quick 5-minute exercise you can do sitting on the floor in a cross-legged position or on a chair with your feet on the floor. If you’re on the floor, you may want a cushion to sit on.

Either way, you will want to keep your spine straight instead of slouched. You may want to play some music that helps you relax such as shamanic drums, crystal singing bowls, a favorite mantra, or wooden flute meditation music. You may feel some tingling in your face and neck as you bring in lots of oxygen to your body - and it’s normal to cry if you have a release of stuck energy. If you do cry, it’s a healthy, positive release!

The breathing technique is done by deeply breathing in your nose, filling your lungs completely. Then you slowly exhale through pursed lips, entirely emptying your lungs. Breathe with as much power as you can and do your best to really go for it for five minutes. When the time is up, breathe in again, holding your breath for ten seconds and squeeze all the muscles in your body. Then exhale powerfully out of your mouth.

Inhale again and hold your breath for ten seconds as you shake your body to distribute the energy, then exhale powerfully through your mouth. Relax and notice how you feel after five minutes of doing breathwork!

Closing

You will find that this breathwork helps you feel more chipper and hopeful right away. Allow yourself time to practice this once a day and notice over the course of a week how your mind starts to flow better - and your indecision starts to melt away. Notice how you feel capable and more ready to put yourself out there and follow your heart.

Yogis value the breath as the sacred link between our body and the Universe. It is the energetic point of connection, which allows us to tap into more enlightened states of consciousness. This is why breathwork is such a big part of the practice of yoga and other wellness systems.

We hope you find this helpful in your decision-making process and when you need that extra boost of confidence!
