3 Delicious & Simple Chicken Recipes Using Your Air Fryer
Air fryers are as popular as ever! The reason? Likely because of how quickly they can cook mouth-watering meals.
A forced hot air cooking system is used with air fryers, similar to a convection oven. This achieves the result of delicious food that is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! All you really have to do is add one tablespoon of oil.
Today we will walk you through three delicious chicken recipes that can be made using your air fryer.
These recipes are all super easy to make, don’t need many ingredients, and are perfect for those busy evenings after work where you need something quick and delicious. Here is what you will find in today’s article:

Chili & Lime Chicken Nuggets Using Your Air Fryer
Preparation: 15 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 1 pound of chicken tenders, cut into 1.5 inch pieces
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil cooking spray
Preparation & Cooking
Step 1
Place the flour in a resealable bag. In a small bowl, mix your egg and lime juice.
Step 2
Add panko bread crumbs, chili powder, and salt and pepper in another small bowl. Mix.
Step 3
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F. Place the chicken into the bag of flour and toss to coat.
Step 4
Dip the chicken nuggets into the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off.
Step 5
Roll the chicken nuggets in the panko bread crumbs that you have seasoned.
Step 6
Spray the air fryer’s basket with oil and place nuggets pieces inside, making sure not to overlap (make two batches if your air fryer is not big enough)—lightly mist chicken with cooking spray as well.
Step 7
Cook for 5 minutes. Turn chicken pieces and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve immediately!
Chicken & Broccoli Using Your Air Fryer
Preparation: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 2 skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups broccoli cut into florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame seed oil
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil cooking spray
Preparation & Cooking
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the chicken breasts and broccoli.
Step 2
In another bowl, combine oil, garlic powder, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F.
Step 3
Add this sauce to the chicken and broccoli. Mix well to coat the chicken and broccoli fully.
Step 4
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Add everything into the air fry basket. Air fry at 380°F for 16-20 minutes, shaking and gently tossing halfway through cooking. Serve warm!

Chicken Caprese Using Your Air Fryer
Preparation: 15 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 2 skinless chicken breasts
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- Chopped basil, for garnish
- Kosher or sea salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Olive oil cooking spray
Preparation & Cooking
Step 1
Cut the chicken breasts in half, lengthwise.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, add the breadcrumbs. In another bowl, beat the egg and set it aside. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F.
Step 3
Dip each piece of chicken in the egg and then in the breadcrumb mixture to cover the chicken fully.
Step 4
Spray both sides of both chicken breasts with cooking spray.
Step 5
Place in the air fryer at 360°F for about 6-8 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, turn the chicken breasts and top them with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Air fry for another 3 minutes.
Step 6
Garnish with fresh basil. Serve on pasta if desired.
