Daily Inspiration for the mind
An interesting new finding tied to anxiety, stress and sleep deprivation is called 'FOMO,' or, the Fear of Missing Out. This type of anxiety is seen in people who feel so uncomfortable without their smartphones and electronic devices, they start to stress out about missing what's going on. While we all like to keep in touch, this is seen more in those who are tied 24/7/365 to their communication devices, desperate to be in the know and included as much as possible.
While keeping that blue light going right before bed can contribute to trouble falling asleep, it has obvious other risks attributed to it. If you identify with this and feel genuinely concerned about your addiction to your devices, have a chat with your doctor. If you've just been a little more obsessed than usual, and are noticing your attachment taking you away from normal activities you enjoy, practice shutting down for a few hours a day, and especially before bed!
Every single person can access their intuition and life purpose through the practice of meditaiton. Meditation opens the mystical third eye which is known as the gateway to the soul and knowledge beyond the five senses.
A daily practice of meditation exercises different parts of the brain that become active when we meditate and strenghten our connection to our own intuition. We can develop a stronger communication line with our soul to hear what it is we came here to do through a regular practice of meditation.
This allows us to find what will truly make us excited to wake up in the morning. Meditation helps us shed the identity created by our environment and the ego that covers up our true loving purpose or it validates that what we always felt is indeed our purpose. Intuition increases our ability to know what is best for us to pursue and what is best for us to let go because the old saying is true 'all that glitter's isn't gold.'
You were meant to read this today. Here's how to feel confident right now.
Close your eyes and feel your inner love and kindness. Feel your energy radiating from your heart. Feel how others enjoy your company because of your love.
Wherever you go, no matter what task is at hand, your confidence comes from your intention to be loving, kind and positive. You are ready! You are smiling and ready to charge up some people with your exuberant vibes. That is your true value beyond anything else.
Over 5% of the world’s population suffers from depressive episodes. You are not alone. Try to connect with friends or family. Talk to someone. Take a mental health day when you need it.
There is no shame in knowing when you are struggling. Mental illness is not a sign of weakness. It takes a lot of strength to seek out the help you need. You are courageous. You are strong. And you will persevere.
How resilient would you say you are? Beating stress isn't about finding the miracle cure or avoiding your triggers at all other costs, it's really about learning how to react to it when it pops into your life. We are faced with stress from all angles, but if we can change how we view what's overwhelming in the first place, we'll be mentally and physically healthier.
Resilience is about dealing with stress in a positive way, so the trick is to remember that anything can be faced and conquered. Stress will never go away, but the way you react to it can be flipped on its head.
Here's a quick meditation tip to reduce anxiety that really works. Take a deep slow breath visualizing soothing light blue light with specks of gold coming into your body with your breath.
Slowly breathe out and visualize greys and dark colors that represent your negative energy leaving your body as you exhale. Watch the soothing energy go into each part of your body to relax it and you continue to breathe slowly and deeply.
Now visualize white light around your body with golden fractals of light. This is your soul that always has your back and connects you to the universal field of energy that you can call on for emotional support at anytime. See the white light shining from your body and connecting to the entire universe. In your mind see great things coming to you and people smiling at you.
Take one more inhale, smile and open your eyes. You have just changed your emotional state, activated the law of attraction in your favor and all in just a few moments of meditation. Meditation is your super power.
You Are Here: MIND
The Holistic Triangle represents the necessity of maintaining the balance of your Mind, Body, and Soul. Being the most structurally sound shape in the Universe, each arm of the triangle is connected to and supports the others. For the triangle to remain equilateral, the Mind, Body, and Soul all need to be in optimal condition. At Daily Life, we understand the intricacies of this fine balance. We work to provide you with tools, strategies, and resources that you can use to maintain your Mind-Body-Soul balance and achieve your ultimate potential and happiness - daily.
What is the Mind?
The mind is the filter through which we as humans perceive life and ascribe meaning to our experiences. Your mind is what allows you to learn, form opinions, and make decisions. Like the motherboard of a computer, your mind is the generator of your consciousness, and therefore, your reality.
What is the Difference Between the Mind & the Brain?
Think of the brain as hardware and the mind as software. The brain is the physical vehicle that your mind exists within. When the mind habitually thinks something, the brain develops neural pathways that create certain thought patterns and behavioural cycles. This means your mind can rewire your brain as you become conscious of your instinctual and habitual thoughts and behaviours. Becoming conscious of your thoughts and behaviours is the first step towards a healthier mind, body, and soul.
How to Practice Mindfulness - Daily
Mindfulness is the practice of constantly observing, reflecting on, and directing your thoughts. Being mindful means intentionally overriding your automatic thoughts with thoughts of positivity and love. Mindfulness allows you to take responsibility for your experience of life, to be aware of how you affect others, and to use your time and energy to become the best version of yourself.
Being mindful means slowing down to think before you speak. It means taking a moment to ask yourself why you are feeling something and how you should respond. It allows you to be less reactive, anxious, and defensive so that you can live more compassionately. Because our culture trains us to prioritize thinking and talking quickly and efficiently, most people struggle with mindfulness.
Mindfulness allows you to see how your thoughts become the energy that creates your life. When you become aware of your thoughts and typical thought patterns, only then do you hold power over them. Being mindful allows you to develop self-love and self-respect, to move beyond judgement to compassionate, understanding, and empathy. Mindfulness allows you to see windows where others see walls.
