How to Make No-Bake Apple Pies
Preparation: 35 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Servings: 12 people
- 1 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 large apples (I use Granny Smith apples and leave the apple peels on).
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
You will also need paper muffin liners to create your no-bake apple pies.
Chop your apples into small cubes.
In a saucepan, add the apples with brown sugar, water, lemon juice, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and spices. Cook on low-medium heat for 20 minutes.
While the apples are cooking, add all of the crust ingredients into a bowl and mix until you have a grainy texture.
Press the finished crust into the bottom of paper muffin liners.
Place the completed apple mixture on top of each crust and press down a little. Sprinkle with more cinnamon.
Place in the fridge for about one hour before serving. This can be kept in your fridge for up to five days!
Will You Try the No-Bake Apple Pie?
I used Granny Smith apples in this recipe, but you can really use any apples you like. The texture will be different, but just as good. One more tip before I sign off: I like to keep the apple peel, but it’s optional. If you want to remove it, the recipe will also work.
