Making avocado toast is as simple as it gets: all you need is a slice of toasted bread with mashed or sliced avocado on top.

Once an avocado has ripened to your taste on the counter, stick it in the fridge, and it should keep for at least one week with no problem.

How to Make Caprese Avocado Toast

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 baguette slices
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • Basil leaves, to taste
  • 3 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation:

  1. Lightly toast the slices of baguette. Put them aside.
  2. Slice the avocado and the tomatoes.
  3. Chop up the basil leaves.
  4. Spread the avocado slices on each piece of toast, divide the tomatoes, and sprinkle the chopped basil.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and shake on a little salt and pepper to taste.
